Your reaction to losing & what it tells about you

"Arrey tumhe jitne diya humne."
Sure you did.
There are two kinds of people after a loss. The ones who are already building their case before the game is even fully over. And the ones who shake hands, laugh it off and ask who is dealing next.
Both of them just lost the same game. Only one of them is okay with it.
The sore loser is not just being dramatic. There is actual psychology behind it. When your self worth is tied to being the best in the room, losing does not feel like a bad round. It feels like a verdict. So the brain protects itself the only way it knows how.
Blame the rules. Blame the luck. Blame the person sitting across from you who was clearly cheating.
It is not weakness. It is just an ego that never learned how to lose safely.
The graceful loser has usually just lived a little more. Seen enough wins and losses to know that neither one defines them. They play for the game not for the proof.
Losing gracefully is genuinely harder than winning gracefully. Winning feels good on its own. Losing gracefully takes something extra.
And game night has a funny way of showing you exactly where you stand.
Not with your team. Not with your strategy.
With yourself.
