India and Bollywood: It’s More Than Just Movies
Can you think of one without the other?
Because I can’t.
There’s something about Bollywood that feels almost impossible to separate from being Indian.
Ask someone about their favourite movie, and they’ll have an answer.
Ask them about their favourite actor, and you might accidentally start a debate.
Play an old Bollywood song at a gathering, and suddenly, everyone knows the lyrics.
Because Bollywood isn’t just an entertainment industry in India.
It’s a feeling.
India has one of the largest film industries in the world, with Mumbai at the heart of the Hindi film industry. Every year, countless people come to the city carrying their own “What if?” dream to simply become a part of the world they grew up watching?
But it doesn’t stop at the screen.
It finds its way in weddings, college festivals, road trips, family functions, friend groups, Instagram reels, antaksharis, dance floors…literally everywhere.
We don’t just watch Bollywood.
We live it.
You could put ten strangers in a room, play a familiar Bollywood song, and suddenly, everyone has something in common. Because these aren’t just songs. They’re emotions that transport you straight back to a particular year, person, trip, or phase of your life.
And that’s exactly the feeling we wanted to bring with our Bollywood card games- Tamasha and Mehfil.

Because it was created as a world of larger-than-life stories, characters, music and dreams, and somewhere along the way, it became a part of our own stories too.
So, if Bollywood can make millions of people dream, sing and dance together…
Why not play it too?
